a walk in a

Lisbon in a day

If you have little time in Lisbon, we have created a perfect tour to get to know the essentials of the city of Lisbon.

Morning: 9am to 1pm (walking)

A tour of the historic center of Lisbon carried out by two lovers of history and the Portuguese capital. We start at Praça dos Restorers and we continued through the downtown Lisbon area, passing churches, such as Santo Antônio, the Lisbon Cathedral and a burned-down church that was reopened almost as the fire left it. Furthermore, we walked through one of the most famous streets in Portugal, the Rua Augusta, until we reach Praça do Comércio (one of the largest in Europe) and reach the banks of the Tagus River at Cais das Colunas.

And how about seeing Lisbon from above? Let's go to the viewpoints of Santa Luzia It is Gates of the Sun from where we can see the Tagus River, the South Bank and much of one of the most charming neighborhoods in the world: Alfama. But we won't just spot it. There you will see the oldest house in the Portuguese capital and after appreciating it from above, we go down and delve into the typical, non-linear streets of Alfama. We will pass by another church, a Roman wall and behind the Lisbon Cathedral, the oldest church in the capital that survived several earthquakes and was built over the centuries.

The entire walking tour yields spectacular photos in settings with centuries of history.

Afternoon: 2pm to 6pm (mostly by car)

In the afternoon our destination is Cascais, where we start with the imposing Hell's Mouth, a rocky formation bathed by the ocean, famous for its shape and the sound it emits on days when the sea is most turbulent.

We then continue until Cascais, where we stopped to enjoy its beautiful beaches, the marina and the historic center with its typical streets full of cafes, restaurants and little shops. Then, on our way back to Lisbon, we entered the beautiful Marginal Road always close to the sea and the Tagus River until Bethlehem, where we stopped to eat a pastry and where you can visit the Jerónimos Monastery Church.

This tour lasts 8 hours, from 9am to 6pm, with 1 hour for lunch. Minimum of 2 people and maximum of 6 people. Payment is made in cash at the beginning of the tour. Entrance fees to monuments and meals not included.

The city of Lisbon has many hills and many cobblestone streets, famous worldwide. Good shoes are essential for navigating historic streets and neighborhoods.

High. Lisbon has a lot of ups and downs, lots of tight streets and lots of stairs. But there are many cafes to sit down, relax a little and regain strength for another stage. In Cascais, the walk is calmer because the entire route is flat.
