Lisbon Tour: Chiado
One walking tour through the historic center of Lisbon. We start at Praça dos Restorers, we continue to the Chiado Walking up the famous Rua do Carmo, we passed the Armazéns do Chiado, climbed up to Largo do Carmo and the top of... Santa Justa Elevator where we have a 360 degree view of the historic center of Lisbon.
Our next destination is the imposing Church of São Roque, a jewel of the Baroque and Mannerist styles. How about seeing Lisbon from above? Let's go to the viewpoint of Saint Peter of Alcantara, from where we can see the whole of downtown Lisbon. We cross one of the oldest and most bohemian neighborhoods in Lisbon – Bairro Alto – until we reach the famous Bica Funicular. The next destination is... Santa Catarina Viewpoint which offers incredible views of the Tagus River and the 25th of April Bridge. From here we continue to Largo de Camões, passing by some churches that you can visit, as well as the Bertrand – the oldest bookstore in the world. On the way back we passed by Rossio, Church of Saint Dominic It is Alentejo House where we end our walking tour.
The entire tour yields spectacular photos in settings with centuries of history.
