a walk in a
Óbidos, Mafra & Cascais
We started our tour by Óbidos, which is located inside a medieval castle just over 80 km from the center of Lisbon. It is currently inhabited by less than 100 people, but it is full of charming shops, cafes, restaurants serving typical food and even a spectacular bookstore inside an old church, which preserves the medieval appearance of its 12th century construction.
Our next destination is Palace and Convent of Mafra, which houses one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. Grand and imposing, the Great Palace can be visited, as well as its church. Built in the early 18th century, the local palace retains many of its original features, with richly decorated halls.
We then continue until Cascais, where we stopped to enjoy its beautiful beaches, the marina and the historic center with its typical alleys full of cafes and restaurants. Then, on our way back to Lisbon, we entered the beautiful Avenida Marginal, always next to the sea and the Tagus River.
This tour lasts 9 hours, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with one hour for lunch. Minimum of 2 people. From 4 people the total price is €300. Entrance fees to monuments and meals not included. Full conditions here
