The place is accessible, either by car or on foot, as there is a trail that passes right next to it. The house was built in the 70s, as a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city, as the place is peaceful and quiet. It is made entirely of stone, using three large granite boulders that already existed on the site. It is the only house in the area, with only ventilation towers for wind energy production as neighbors, which is common in Serra do Fafe. Despite being close to the towers, the house does not have electricity.
