The nine islands that make up this beautiful natural setting provide us with landscapes that seem to have come straight out of movie screens, science fiction films or even expressionist paintings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#039;s hard to choose, but I&#039;ll list below the five places you should visit when you go to the Azores:<br><br><strong>Seven Cities<\/strong>: one of the most impressive places in the <em>Azores<\/em>, the Sete Cidades lakes are located in the <em>Saint Michael Island<\/em>. Here are two lakes, one green and one blue, that occupy a volcanic crater about 12 km in diameter. To make the most of the experience, we recommend visiting one of its viewpoints, which will provide a view like the one in the photo. To get a complete view of the lagoon, the tip is to walk around it. It is just over five kilometers long and the entire route takes around three hours. From the top you can see the islands of Graciosa, S\u00e3o Jorge, Faial and Terceira. To reach the peak you need some preparation, it is very steep and can take up to three hours.
