Many famous personalities in Portugal and even in the world still have their houses preserved. Some can be visited, others cannot. One of the greatest poets in the Portuguese language, author of \u201cOs Lus\u00edadas\u201d, which is a work recognized as one of the greatest national symbols, Luiz de Cam\u00f5es still has the house where he lived, in the 1580s, standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The author, one of the greatest references in the Portuguese-speaking community, lived in the capital, Lisbon, close to the Santa Ana Church, in the Campo M\u00e1rtires da P\u00e1tria area, in the heart of the city. Although there are doubts about the place where he actually lived in 1580, it is assumed by the general population that it was in this house that the poet lived and died. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
